Mission
The mission of the Norwegian Fur Breeders' Association (NFBA) is above all to secure a good and steady income for our farmers. To achieve this, we have divided our organisation into three different branches, each responsible for its own function.
 NFBA is the umbrella organization, and offers counsel to the members both through experts in mink and fox, as well as giving veterinary and economic advice. NFBA also spreads information about the industry to politicians, the press and the public. In addition to this, NFBA offers financial support and loans free of interest to its members.Oslo Fur Auctions (OFA) is the trade organization responsible for the grading and shipping of pelts to the auction house in Helsinki, Finland. OFA also works the market, and has one associate based in China. Norwegian Fur Breeders' Cooperative Feed Supply Organization (NPFL) looks after the industry's supplies of both feed and equipment. All the ten feed factories are members of NPFL. NPFL negotiate good prices for the raw materials needed to produce feed for the animals, and they also maintain good relations with the suppliers of machines and other utensils necessary for the farmers to run the farm in a cost-effective way. |

HVILKE PELSDYR HAR VI
Etterspørselen etter pels på verdens- markedet er stor, og har vært det i mange hundre år. Tidligere fikk man tilgang på skinn utelukkende gjennom jakt og fangst.
