The very first fur auction in Scandinavia took place in 1932 in Oslo. Today, Oslo Fur Auctions Ltd. sells the Norwegian production of mink and fox skins through Finnish Fur Sales, while the grading takes place in Oslo.  

Fur farming has been a traditional activity on Norwegian farms for close to 100 years, and today roughly 700 fur breeders keep the tradition alive. From the very beginning we have taken part in scientific research in order to ensure the best housing and care for our animals, and after many years of research we have extensive knowledge of how to take care of our minks and foxes. 

This knowledge results in the production of one of the finest furs in the world. We also benefit from our naturally cold climate and our abundant feed supplies. Our climate may not be good for much, but it is perfect for fur production!
